Here's the sixth and final instalment in my series of posts documenting our fantastic holiday to Malta and Gozo. Let's take a trip to the breathtaking Azure window, a giant arch cut from the limestone by the sea. A tourist hotspot, and recently increased in fame further by it's appearance on the awesome HBO series, Game of Thrones.
The day we arrived in Gozo - Malta's little brother island to the north west - it did not look like this. No, the day we chose for our journey, was the day of the storm. Torrential rain, lighting, a flat tire and a lidl sponsored ferry crossing, made for quite an adventure. As we crossed the sea, through the rainy haze we could just make out the outline of what would be our home for the second part of our holiday - Fort Chambray.
Okay, okay, too many blog posts on Malta I know, but I have so many nice pictures to share!
Above is me looking cool in a door way in Mdina, a beautiful medieval walled town in the middle of the island. This post has a mixture of shots from within the walls, as well as outside in the village of Rabat. Enjoy the doorways and flaking paint, but beware of the angry cat.
When Caroline and I discussed the best bits of 2014 we both picked our trip to Malta as the highlight. So it seems fitting to start of the new year with the second instalment of photos from our trip. These pics are from a day's drive along the south-east coast of the island;
Back in October I took my first 'proper' holiday with my lovely girlfriend Caroline Alexander. As a professional wedding photographer, Caroline took the opportunity - after a busy season - to rest her shooting finger, but for me it was time to get snap happy!
